FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

for WEE WRESTLERS and JUNIORS

CAN MY CHILD TRY A CLASS BEFORE SIGNING UP?

Yes! The first class is always FREE for Wee Wrestler and Junior students with no obligation to sign up. We're proud of our retention rate thanks to our friendly atmosphere and fun training sessions, so we're confident that you'll want to come again and again.

I AM WORRIED THAT MY CHILD WILL NOT MANAGE IN A CLASS SETTING?

Very rarely do we have students who are shy or struggle in group settings try a class with us that we don't manage to "win round" and bring out their shell. We do this through gentle encouragement, lots of support and praise and the friendly and inclusive atmosphere we've created. Our regular students love welcoming new students to our classes and take pride in showing them the ropes.

WHAT HAPPENS AT MY CHILD'S FIRST CLASS?

We will ask their parent/guardian to step inside momentarily at the beginning of their first session to fill out some necessary paperwork. We show the new students where to put their shoes and water bottle and introduce them to the rest of the class and coaches before starting the session. Students can then be collected at the end of the session.

CAN PARENTS/CARERS WATCH CLASSES?

Unfortunately we don't have the space to accommodate parents or carers within the unit whilst classes are taking part - we ask that kids be dropped off and collected at the end of the session. Luckily, the kids don't mind - they're having too much fun!

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING?

Our Wee Wrestler and Junior students should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for exercise, they will be asked to remove their shoes before stepping on to the mats our Wee Wrestlers can take part in training in their socks and our Juniors are encouraged to wear a clean pair of flat-soled shoes with ankle support (cheap pairs of amateur boxing boots can be found online although a clean pair of flat-soled trainers will work). Both Wee Wrestlers and Juniors should also bring a water bottle.

WHAT IS THE COST OF WEE WRESTLERS AND JUNIORS?

Our Wee Wrestlers classes last 1 hour and are priced at £25 per calendar month.

Our Juniors classes last 1.5 hours and are priced at £35 per calendar month.

The first class is always FREE - please see our timetable for class days and times depending on location and CLICK HERE to email us to book in for a free first class.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

for ADULT STUDENTS

WHAT DOES PRO WRESTLING TRAINING ENTAIL?

In our beginners class we begin with the fundamentals of professional wrestling which includes rolls, breakfalls, in-ring work utilising using the ropes, basic take-downs and holds, pins, strikes, in-ring positioning and placement. We also cover basic character work including speaking skills, entrances and presentation.
In advanced classes we take the beginners fundamental work and show you how to utilise that in a match setting, we work on advanced wrestling techniques and movements, show you how to develop your character to have you show-ready and teach you how to interact with the crowd and cameras as well as working on your use of self-promotion on social media and working with other wrestling companies.

HOW MUCH IS PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

Our Beginners membership is £50 per calendar month, this provides you with one evening's training per week (check out our timetable for more info) which lasts 2.5 hours. To break this down - this is less than £5 per hour of Professional Wrestling Training.

Our Adults Advanced membership is £75 per calendar month, this provides you with 5 hours of training over two evening classes per week (check our timetable for more info) with each class lasting 2.5 hours. To break this down - this is £3.75 per hour of Professional Wrestling Training.

IS PRO WRESTLING TRAINING HARD?

Whilst we work closely with students to help them advance at a fast rate, we base our training around each individuals ability. We are here to support you. With our experience in coaching for over a decade as well as hosting (and taking part in) seminars and training sessions all over the world with some of the best wrestlers and coaches, alongside our proven track record of taking completely brand new students and turning them in to independent pro's who now wrestle for promotions all over the country, we feel we've mastered the ability to break it down in to digestible chunks. Week by week you'll learn more and more and you'll see an improvement in your ability.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

We are extremely proud of the welcoming atmosphere we've created in our training schools, the major benefit we see to wrestling training is the connections and friendships people build through their mutual interest in wrestling. It's a great way to socialise, keep fit, improve your mental health and achieve goals.

HOW LONG DOES PRO WRESTLING TRAINING TAKE?

How long does it take to debut on a live, professional show? It all depends - our coaches work with each student on an individual basis based on their ability, goals and strengths. Everyone develops and their own rate, we pride ourselves on helping students find their strengths and work on advancing those. PWR Pro run Student Showcases as well as professional shows multiple times a year, we also have great working relationships with a number of top, reputable schools all over Scotland, the rest of the UK and beyond, and our goal is to make sure every one of our students has access to the benefits and opportunities that provides.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PERFORM ON SHOWS, I JUST WANT TO TAKE PART IN TRAINING?

Absolutely. No two students of ours have the same goals, and many students train with us just because they like wrestling, they wanted to give it a go, and they want to use it as an opportunity to increase their fitness. Not every student wants to be the next WWE Superstar, and that is totally fine with us.

IS THERE AN UPPER AGE LIMIT TO START PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

This is a question we get asked a lot - and the answer is always NO! We are often contacted by people who have been wrestling fans their whole life, and who often sit in the crowd at independent Scottish shows dreaming of giving it a go, but always feeling like they've "left it too late" or are too old to try something for the first time. It can be nerve wracking trying something new in your 30's or 40's, but you'd be surprised at the number of students we have in those age brackets who walk in the door for the first time, and then never leave. Contact us today, you won't regret it.

DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO TAKE PART IN PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

Absolutely not, very rarely do we have students who start training with us that are already fit - almost always it's something we build up week by week through our training.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

To each session you'll be required to wear comfortable clothes appropriate for exercise, bring a towel, a spare t-shirt, a water bottle and a clean pair of indoor shoes to change in to before stepping on to the mats - we recommend flat soled shoes with ankle support such as amateur boxing boots (you can find cheap pairs online). You could also opt to wear elbow and knee pads if you wish.

HOW DO I START PRO WRESTLING TRAINING?

If you'd like to start training with PWR Pro, send us an email at pwr.pro@yahoo.com or CLICK HERE

We'll send you over our pricing information and invite you along to our next available session.

Unfortunately we do not offer free classes for adult students, so we will send you details on how to make payment before your class.

CAN I TRY A SESSION FOR FREE?

We offer free first classes to our Wee Wrestler and Junior students, however, we don't offer this for our adult students.
The reason for this is we feel that to get the best opportunity to see what Pro Wrestling Training is really like and to be able to fully gauge whether it's the right fit for you, one nights class isn't going to be enough. We ask for 1 months fees upfront, this is a commitment from you to give it a proper go as much as it is a commitment from us as your coaches to provide you with the best opportunity to get the most out of your first taste of professional wrestling training. We're extremely confident that you'll love it - our retention rate for students is excellent - this is due to our friendly atmosphere and the world-class professional wrestling training we provide.

I HAVE BEEN TRAINING FOR X AMOUNT OF TIME AND I'M LOOKING TO EXPAND MY KNOWLEDGE ON WRESTLING, WHAT CAN PWR PRO OFFER ME?

In recent times he has worked closely with WWE NXTUK under the instruction of Johnny Moss and James Mason at the London Performance Centre.
